# Plans and limits

Unlimited chat is subject to fair use.

## How the limit counts

* **One stock, once a day.** Each stock counts once a day toward your plan (midnight to midnight, Pacific time), however many times you ask for it.
* **Across everything.** The chat, the connector and the API share the same count.
* **Free to ask again.** A stock you've already seen today doesn't count again.
* **Unscored symbols don't count.** Funds and anything else under `not_scored` are free.

The allowance resets when your plan renews each month, and there's also a daily limit that resets at midnight Pacific time. Each API answer says in words how much is left until your plan renews, in `scores_left_words`: "plenty left", "running low" or "none left until your plan renews".

## At a limit

When a plan's limit is reached, a call that asks for stocks you haven't seen yet is refused as a whole with a `limit_reached` error (HTTP 429), says when it resets, and counts nothing. Stocks you've already seen that day still come back. In the chat, you'll see a short note instead.

## Personal use

Plus is for your own investing and your own tools. Showing scores to anyone else, or using them in a business, needs an Enterprise licence.
